Creating video content for this would be great. That would be something we would add to one of our initial emails that go out so our clients (and agents) are educated (setting expectations) so the home inspection process goes as smooth as possible.
Has anyone created a presentation or class on the topic of utilizing emotional intelligence to manage emotions during the home inspection process? We have this as part of a presentation now, but would like to build a full presentation and maybe class around it. Our hope is reminding/teaching agents how to manage client emotions to help with a smoother inspection process.

We have been fortunate to have agents invite us to join their podcasts. Great way to partner and build relationships and business.
I think the relationship between agents and inspectors can be complex. It's understandable that agents want the entire process to go well and the inspection can throw a wrench in that sometimes. The key thing we try to discuss with agents proactively is educating clients before the inspection. What will the inspection process look like? What will the report include? How will agents manage client expectations and emotions? This usually helps grow a better relationship among clients, agents, and inspectors.

We seem to find more and more with new construction. When our Client Coordinator hears clients say they are not sure they need an inspection because it is a new house, she definitely has some stories to tell.
Not always going to happen, but we try to be proactive with negative reviews.
