How do i make it say Green Valley Inspections

Actually, Eric can you check out http://greenvalleyinspectionguide.com and let me know if what I did there is ok before I go and change the rest of your sites. It will say Green Vally Inspections on the tab when you first go there (instead of intro) but then on each individual page it still says the page name. If you want them all to say Green Valley Inspections instead I will have to talk to our web guys about that. Thanks!

Just the intro page is good. Also http://smarthomeservice.net

Thanks

Great! All of your sites should be updated now.

Thanks Danelle

I have seen those in the mountain cabin areas. The ones i have seen, 1 is a shut off and one is a winterizing drain. But your area might be different
Mike Casey wrote:Please see below from CREIA, this applies to all California Home Inspectors, you will be forced to inspect certain pool components per this legislation. This was introduced with no consultation with CA home inspectors.

CREIA Legislative Alert and Call to Action
September 2, 2016
CREIA membership, we have an urgent and immediate request that you contact the Governor's office and ask him to veto AB470.

The bill would require home inspectors, as part of a home inspection, to verify that at least 2 of the 7 specfiic pool safety provisions were present at the time of the inspection. Click here to view the bill. http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billNavClient.xhtml?bill_id=201520160AB470

This bill passed both houses and is on the way to the Governor for signature.

We want the Governor to veto this bill because:
• Most CREIA inspectors are not qualified to do what is required under this bill and many may not have E&O insurance covering pool-related issues.
• It will require extra time and therefore extra cost for the client.
• Inspection software will have to be rewritten to accommodate the additional work.
• Several of the features will require the inspector to verify compliance with testing lab (ASTM) standards for such features.
• There will also be logistics to work out; e.g., how to know or determine if a feature meets such a standard without available documentation on site.
• CREIA will need to provide standards and training for this additional work.

Our chances of a veto are slim. However, the outcome, if we do nothing is almost a given.

Contact Governor Brown at (916) 445-2841 and request his veto now.

Poses a good question Mike. How would one even know if a specific mesh fence was ASTM compliant without the packaging and paperwork that comes with the product.

(2) Removable mesh fencing that meets American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Specifications F 2286 standards in conjunction with a gate that is self-closing and self-latching and can accommodate a key lockable device.

This is a bit to go through, and this is just for the barrier

4. Design and Performance Requirements
4.1 The top of a fence or wall used as a barrier shall be a minimum of 48 in. (1.2 m) above the grade adjacent to the exterior side of the barrier.
4.2 Distance between vertical support poles and attached mesh, along with other manufactured factors, shall be so
designed and fabricated to hinder children’s ability to climb.
4.3 Decorative details, if provided or added, shall not afford the ability of children to climb the mesh safety barrier.
4.4 When a hinged gate is used in addition to, or as part of the mesh safety barrier, the gate shall be self-closing, selflatching,
accommodate a locking device and open outward from the pool, spa, or hot tub. The self-latching and lockable devices for gates shall be located at a minimum height of 54 in.(1.37 m) above grade and be mounted on the outside of the gate. An additional support or plate may be necessary to raise
the device to 54 in. (1.37 m).
NOTE 1—Hinged gates in accordance with 4.4 are recommended for use with removable mesh fencing for swimming pools, hot tubs, and spas.
4.5 There shall be a clear zone of at least 20 in. (50 cm) between the barrier and pool/spa/hot tub.
4.6 The fence shall have at least 40 % open space to allow visibility from outside to inside of the pool area.
NOTE 2—The “open space” is calculated by using total area and subtracting the area of opaque supports and mesh.
4.7 The mesh safety barrier shall be removable when desired.
We use drones, Crawbot, Thermal, Sewer Cams and some times a Ouija board

Mike Casey wrote:As far as I know in TN you need a license for inspecting any structure 1-4 dwelling units. Everything else is commercial and no license required.

Although interesting, I have obtained CE approval in the past from your state for Home Inspectors for commercial inspection courses.

I don't know of any state that requires a license for commercial inspections.
