Vertical Cracks

Hey guys!
Interpreting cracks in the foundation wall is one of my weaker areas. Today's inspection I have several (near) vertical cracks in poured concrete foundation. A couple cracks were probably going through as they were seen both inside and outside. I understand if this was a block foundation, but I'm not familiar with the concrete. Any advice as to the possible causes?
I don't have any pictures to post yet as they are on my tablet and that doesn't sync up with my Mac very well. I'll have to post the pictures later from the tablet.

It really depends upon what else you see that might be related. Were the cracks concentrated in one area? Were there any other signs related to distress such as slope, racked doors or windows? At the very least there is the potential for water intrusion, so they might want to have them epoxy injected. Might recommend a foundation repair contractor to evaluate and suggest repair options, if any just to be safe. One thing to remember, all big cracks start out as small cracks, so you can't project the potential for future movement.

These are from the same location. I dont know if this will help determine the cause..

It's hard to evaluate with just one photo and not seeing the whole house. Does not look significant structurally, however, there is the water intrusion potential. Plus they'll be a stigma when your client is a seller. Best to have them evaluated now to determine if okay.

My tablet sucks. i can't seem to get more than the phone picture uploaded.

The cracks were just a couple locations and only one per area. No cracks in drywall. Doors & windows operated just fine. Grading is positive to neutral.

Sounds good Mike! Like always, Thanks for the advice. The big concern for this house was unsupported plumbing and the electrical by the sump pump & plumbing drains.

A side note, this house was about 90% identical to my first house that I owned.
