Dear Nancy Duff Campbell...this is not a milestone. It's a disgrace

Putting women in the line of fire is not a milestone. These are daughters, mothers, and sisters- women have the opportunity to be equal in everything except death.

I would love to see your ignorant ass be quoted as saying it's a "milestone" when the first woman dies in this position.

This should be optional to females. I was in the military with some bad A double S women. Don't let gender fool you Nathan. We are still alive today thanks to both brave men and brave women, who risk their lives for us. I am scared, I admit, I have 2 daughter's. One just turned 18 this past Wednesday. Tearing up now just thinking of it.

Without reviewing crime statistics, I would imagine females (more than males,) are already on the firing line in everyday life.

Of course women are in harm's way in other respects in this world and no doubt Michael...I'm sure the women participating in this and able to pass the physical part are tough- but I don't care. I don't care if they're barely recognizable as a female. There's no excuse to put women in this sort of combat position.

Even some of the most barbaric people in tribal wars don't do this.

I completely, totally agree with that...no one should have to die in war. I'm just saying women shouldn't even be on the list of those eligible for the riskiest positions.

Women and Children should be taken care of. Call me sexist if you want, but on the other side Nancy Duff Campbell believes it is a "milestone" to have bullets flying straight at women in battle. I guess I'd rather be called sexist than be one of the most ignorant people on the planet like Nancy Duff Campbell is.

Well, women want to be created equal, they know what they're getting themselves in. Let them. Not a single member of ISIS is afraid to die. What they ARE afraid of, is getting killed by a woman. It's disgraceful and prevents them from "going to a higher place and being greeted by 72 virgins." I watched CNN, HLN, or one of those shows with an hour documentary on the female U.S. soldiers and female rebels, and I was quite impressed. These women were bad asses. If you know Ronda Rousey, the female MMA fighter? Now add an arsenal to those combat skills, and you've got some bad ass women!

There are definitely badass women. They can be badasses. I support it.

Mike Pence can already control women's bodies in Indiana. I guess maybe become friends with him and he can keep females from choosing to fight for their families freedom as well. They are choosing to defend our freedom just like men. Equality. The whole point of equality is that men don’t get to choose what women do, say, wear, etc.
