ISN SMS Number

For those that use ISN, did you purchase and use an SMS number? If so, why? If not, why not?

Tell us what that means.

I did not.

I just let them be sent from the Vegas number. My text message states it's from us.

You can lease an SMS number from ISN and it lets the ISN system send SMS to clients for appointment reminders, etc. If they reply or call that number, it gets routed to your phone. Here's the official verbiage from the ISN system.

I wonder how many people reply to that SMS number and you never get it. And if so, do they get any kind of message saying it wasn't sent (kind of like sending an SMS to a landline). I'm probably over-analyzing it.

When they reply I get an email.

How much is the custom text number? I looked into buying a text server and license a few years ago, and it was around $5000 upfront.

$15/month. A drop in the bucket. I don't know why I'm analyzing it so much.

I've been using ISN for years and all this time I didn't realize that if they called the number the text came from that they would be put through to my business phone.

Renting the SMS number from ISN is a must do. They have a really good article on this topic. Too many reasons to list here. Just order it.

I got one just last week.
