Has anyone used or had any experience with easy inspect from TX3Tech being promoted by InterNACHI?

Haven't tried it, but I did read something about it not being good for multi inspector firms. This may or may not affect your decision process.

Thanks,
not multi inspector yet. really looking for quick on site finished report before leaving. Right now I'm using report host, I get 80-90% but still have to upload pics from office computer and finalize later at night. Really looking for some thing that will work nice from a small tablet/galaxy note. Easy inspect seems to be nice. But at some point I may have two guys working the same inspection.

I use Home Gauge which has an easy out of the box experience. Home Inspector Pro is also good and has the best support of any software.

I don't see how anyone can complete the inspection report on site, I know for me that I need to finish it on the desktop, analyze pictures, do some research and ensure my wording is correct, unless you are just checking boxes with no comments or just pre made boiler plate comments I just don't see how it can be done unless the house has zero defects. Plus I looked at the above software, their sample report is 56-81 pages long ???

They do those sample reports for show. Remember software providers are selling licenses- not success. The vast majority of inspectors don't do much volume, and tend to love these excessively long reports.

Ignore those samples- HIP and 3-D both have 20-30 page templates that work great and can be completed on site. Horizon can make that happen for you in an hour. HomeGauge is great and easy to use according to users- the only disappointment there in my book has been how long it's taking to integrate with RecallChek. Russell posted recently that it's on an upcoming release in another forum, so we're keeping our fingers crossed.

In the meantime, 3-D was the first to integrate, HIP integrated across all platforms, and Horizon went so far as to integrate pictures. Taking the time, spending the money, and putting resources towards making users lives easier is very meaningful to me.

And as for this TX3, I've never heard of it and Theres not a lot in this industry I don't see. For that reason, I have to suggest going to one of the majors. Too many inspectors left high and dry in other similar situations. If you want to have them call me and demonstrate their ability to handle the needs of this profession, I will gladly give it a look and make a public endorsement if they pass the test.

I use HG with my DSLR camera and a Toughbook in my van. Reports done generally on site and only a few minutes longer than I can do it with a tablet. I personally don't like using a tablet - just used to a keyboard.
One thing to remember is many inspectors take way too many pics. If you're one of those who wants pics for backup, insert a new sd card in a separate camera and you can deal with those later or when you have time. Put only the pics you need in your report. Load your template outside of comments - searching for drop in comments takes way too long. Quicker to erase a sentence in any report than to find a comment out of dozens some inspectors load in.

My reports generally take about 20 mins after the inspection but I don't insert a bunch of fluff which is unnecessary IMO. I have no problem doing 3 HI's in a day.

i took a leap and went with the TX3tech Easy Inspect and purchased the narratives from InterNachi. I absolutely love it. Its quick and generates a pdf as soon as I'm done. I upload it to ISN and its sent out. I take pics as I need them and can add notes and arrows/circles etc to the pics quickly from my Note 4 in my hand. i can also either pick from a quick narrative for typical findings or easily enter in my onsite notes. I have been successfully finishing my reports onsite or shortly afterward if i have a lot of distractions and want to take extra time reviewing. If your not using ISN you can generate an email right out of the app with the report attached. it doesn't integrate with recall check, but who cares, the recall check app is quick and simple enough that I don't need integration.

Why is it necessary for RC to integrate with a software provider?

Am I missing some kind of benefit?

Making business easier for users is the goal of any responsible vendor.

There are work arounds of course, but why not have many methods available for convenience?

Isn't RC app the best way to submit?

Absolutely. But some like to put it into their software for multiple reasons. Perhaps they've been doing it that way for awhile and don't want to switch, others like to put the model numbers in once and report them in the report as well as RecallChek.

I love homegauge, as you said, very easy to use. I've bugged them by email more than once about integrating for RecallChek, hopefully it will happen soon!
