Sewer scoping is a great ancillary you should consider!

The more you do sewer scopes, the more you realize everyone needs it for their home. We often find issues and sewer line repairs are typically expensive. It really doesn't take too much to get into this ancillary business for home inspectors, some training so you can learn to identify different pipe types, different defects, tricks of the trade, etc. We had 4 cameras at $2K each and I thought that was decent but we were plagued w repairs. We purchased an $8.5K camera it's too large for most stacks. So, there is a learning curve but overall, a great diversification whereby you can beat many plumbers on price and still add substantially to your bottom line.

We added sewer scopes to our list of ancillary services a few years ago and it's been great! Clients love that for only 1 appointment, they can have the home inspection and sewer scope.
